About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal MLOps Engineer to join our innovative team focused on developing a revolutionary music discovery platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and building scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure systems that support machine learning models and data pipelines integral to our platform. Your responsibilities will include establishing robust development environments for ML engineers, managing model training workflows, building and maintaining data pipelines, and automating deployment processes for recommendation systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on a modern, challenging, and ambitious product that delivers an engaging user experience by integrating content delivery, audio playback, machine learning, and recommendation systems. Your contributions will directly impact how users discover and enjoy music globally, helping to shape the future of music consumption.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in MLOps and DevOps roles
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Expertise with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Serverless architectures
  • Strong knowledge of data pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
  • Solid understanding of system components such as databases, caches, event streaming, queues, and data warehouses
  • Experience automating infrastructure, deployment, and ML workflows using industry-standard tools
  • Familiarity with setting up development environments for ML engineers and managing ML lifecycle workflows

Responsibilities

  • Operate in a fast-paced, startup-like environment to launch new business initiatives within HARMAN
  • Work with a high degree of autonomy and ownership to drive project success
  • Make critical early-stage development decisions to ensure long-term scalability and stability
  • Serve as a technical leader in backend engineering, ML engineering, DevOps, and MLOps considerations
  • Engage actively with product stakeholders to iterate and refine platform features and capabilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable, maintainable, and operable MLOps infrastructure supporting product launch and growth
  • Collaborate closely with application developers and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Automate model training, deployment, and system management processes for efficiency and reliability
