🚀 Overview:

The Associate Network Construction Manager supports fiber construction activities across outside plant (OSP), inside plant (ISP), utility pole, and ground facility environments. This role requires familiarity with permitting, pole/conduit licensing, and coordination with local/state utilities.

You will assist senior Construction Managers and Project Managers in planning, tracking, and executing fiber infrastructure projects including relocations, enterprise builds, utility make-ready, and above/below-ground installations.

This position is ideal for early-career candidates looking to grow into a full Network Construction Manager role.


🧭 Key Responsibilities:

🛠️ Construction & Field Support:

• Attend Kick-Off meetings to support all phases of fiber construction

• Assist Construction Managers with site visits, surveys, safety inspections, and closeout

• Provide direction to contractors in alignment with project specifications

• Support relocation and utility make-ready projects across NJ, PA, and DE

• Clear conflicts for PADOT, DELDOT, and NJDOT and respond within each jurisdiction’s operating systems


🚧 Utility Coordination & Pole Processes:

• Handle all pole transfers, including vendor scheduling

• Create POs, reconcile invoices, and manage vendor interactions

• Manage NJUNS and SPANS systems

• Create pole maps, work orders, and assignments

• Coordinate with utilities and vendors to drive toward completion schedules

• Support over lash applications to utility power companies


📊 Project Tracking, Reporting & Analysis:

• Use Power BI and business intelligence tools for OTP, CRM assignment analysis, and predictive visuals

• Maintain accurate project records in internal tracking systems

• Submit Change Management tickets when required

• Ensure teams and customers are aware of issues impacting timelines or cost


📐 Permitting, Licensing & Documentation:

• Develop a working knowledge of public/private right-of-way permitting

• Understand how requirements vary by municipality and pole owner

• Review As-Built drawings and validate quantities

• Observe and learn from senior Network Construction Managers, Fiber Engineers, NOC, Field Operations, and Customer teams


🎓 Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED required

• Equivalent work experience acceptable


🧠 Experience Requirements:

• 0–2+ years in telecommunications/wireless industry (required)

• Preference given to candidates with exposure to:

  • Outside Plant (OSP) construction
  • Inside Plant (ISP) fiber construction
  • Utility or DOT-related work
