Job Description
Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced QA Engineer for our client, a leading software provider serving the family entertainment industry! This is a 1-year contract position that is fully remote (EST or CST time zones preferred).
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer (manual, automation, or hybrid) to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our web-based applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with software testing in an Agile environment and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional user experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and TypeScript (for automation-focused candidates)
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and identify areas for automation
- Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in web application QA (manual, automation, or mixed)
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience testing across multiple browsers and devices
- Proficiency in Cypress, TypeScript or JavaScript is a plus
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This opportunity provides a starting hourly pay of $50.00 to $70.00 DOE plus medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week.
