Title: AWS Splunk Engineer

Location: Fully Remote - 7am-3pm EST

Pay Rate: $56-58/hr

Duration: 12 Month Contract to Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION

Seeking a Cloud Engineer to provide Tier 3 support for a large-scale biometric system. Responsibilities include system monitoring, troubleshooting, software/hardware configuration, and dashboard creation. The role involves direct customer interaction and occasional on-call support.

Responsibilities include:

• Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.

• Be responsible for the installation and configuration of new software and hardware, including the server network, devices, and firewalls.

• Be responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.

• Plan for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.

• Manage user accounts and assets and assign and update security permissions on the network according to security policy.

• Provide support with escalated help desk requests.

• Perform typical system administrator activities.

• Create, edit, and maintain Splunk dashboards to measure system performance.

• Review systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.

• Identify root cause and documenting troubleshooting steps to resolution.

• Support active directory/LDAP, certificate services, network communications, and group policy and security compliance.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to Obtain an EOD

6+ Years of Related Experience

5+ Years of experience working with Splunk including dashboard creation, configuration, installation within a cloud environment (AWS preferred)

2+ Years of Cloud system Administration

2+ years of Linux administration experience
