Job Description
We’re working with a growing software vendor that’s looking for an experienced Senior QA / UAT Tester to support a critical phase of product development and customer delivery.
This is a 6-month contract, fully remote across the UK, paying up to £400 per day (Outside IR35).
You’ll be the go-to person for manual testing and UAT, owning quality across multiple SaaS product modules and working closely with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and executing end-to-end QA and UAT activities across key product areas.
- Creating, maintaining and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts.
- Working with Product Managers and Engineers to clarify acceptance criteria and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Identifying, logging, tracking and prioritising defects using existing tools (e.g. Jira).
- Running regression, functional and integration testing to support release readiness.
- Coordinating UAT cycles with internal users and/or customer groups.
- Providing clear reporting on test outcomes, risks and quality metrics.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as a QA or UAT Tester within a software vendor or SaaS environment.
- Strong background in manual testing across complex, multi-module products.
- Solid understanding of agile development and product release processes.
- Hands-on experience planning and running UAT cycles with stakeholders.
- Proficiency with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Bonus: experience with basic SQL or API testing tools (nice to have, not essential).
