Overview:
We are looking for an Energy Trading Developer to support a key project in the energy sector focused on improving Algotrading Hedge Services.
You’ll help enhance HedgeX by developing new trading strategies, improving the frontend for live data and customization, and implementing streaming solutions that support automated and assisted hedging for power and gas. The role requires strong skills in Python, Docker, Azure, Kubernetes, and React, and is fully remote for EU-based candidates.
Project Description:
Stabilisation of Algotrading Hedge Services
HedgeX supports traders in automated hedging and enables assisted hedging decisions. It reduces the manual effort for traders to close a predefined open position and gives more flexibility for additional market analysis & hedge strategies. HedgeX enable traders to trade power/gas via predefined execution strategies through an interface to the trading system and to enable better hedging against sales prices.
Responsibilities:
- The development and implementation of further trading strategies in a alignment with the product team
- Improve frontend interface, allowing for more customization, live data streaming and more use-cases, i.e. full-stack development.
- Analysing which streaming technologies are suitable and applying them
- Extend execution strategies in HedgeX for power and gas:
o spread trading for power and gas storage optimization
o automatic hedging at certain price signals (e.g. VWAP)
o Clear scaling concept for new strategies and use-cases
o Streaming service that can feed live e*star data into applications, not only snapshots
