📝 About the Role

We are hiring a highly experienced Senior WordPress Developer with deep expertise in custom WordPress development, enterprise-grade hosting environments, performance optimization, and hardened security setups.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining WordPress platforms that handle high traffic, secure deployments, and complex integrations.

You will lead custom development, optimize infrastructure, and work closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver fast, scalable, and secure WordPress systems.

Strong experience with Linux hosting, custom plugins, caching engines, cloud platforms, and debugging complex issues is essential.


🛠 Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain advanced WordPress websites and complex plugins.
  • Configure and manage enterprise-level hosting (Linux, Apache/Nginx, VPS, Cloud).
  • Optimize performance across frontend, backend, database, caching, and server layers.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices (hardened configs, firewalls, SSL/TLS).
  • Manage DNS, SSL certificates, deployments, backups, and monitoring tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website and server issues, including high-traffic bottlenecks.
  • Conduct performance, scalability, and security audits regularly.
  • Implement caching layers (Redis, Memcached, Varnish) to boost speed.
  • Collaborate with design, development, DevOps, and product teams to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Stay updated with the latest WordPress core updates, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.


🎓 Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
  • Strong experience with PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, actions, filters, themes, and plugins.
  • Solid experience with Linux-based hosting + Apache/Nginx.
  • Strong knowledge of caching engines (Redis, Memcached, Varnish).
  • Experience with CDN integrations (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly).
  • Proven experience in performance optimization at both WordPress + server level.
  • Solid understanding of security hardening, SSL/TLS, and WordPress hardening techniques.
  • Experience with Git, version control, and release workflows.
  • Ability to debug performance issues, slow queries, and memory leaks.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.


Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
  • Familiarity with Docker or containerized environments.
  • Experience with enterprise WordPress hosting platforms.
  • Experience with multisite or multilingual WordPress setups.
  • Knowledge of server monitoring tools and application performance monitoring.
