IDR is seeking a Linux Generalist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Norcross, Georgia. This role is ideal for a Linux professional with basic storage administration experience, supporting a dynamic organization in the technology industry. The position is fully remote, with a requirement for candidates to sit in the CST time zone.
Position Overview for the Linux Generalist:
- Provide Linux system administration support across various distributions
- Manage storage environments including SAN/NAS and volume management
- Diagnose and resolve Linux system issues using appropriate tools and methodologies
- Automate tasks and improve efficiency through scripting in Bash, Python, or similar languages
- Collaborate with team members to ensure system stability and performance
Requirements for the Linux Generalist:
- Experience working with multiple Linux distributions
- Basic understanding of storage administration including SAN/NAS or volume management in Linux
- Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot Linux issues with clear documentation of steps taken
- Scripting experience in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages for automation
- Reside in CST and able to work fully remote
