Network Security Engineer
Location: Remote
Day Rate: Up to £500 per day

Our client, a leading organisation within the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Network Security Engineer to support secure network operations within a NOC environment. You’ll handle 2nd and 3rd line BAU tickets, ensuring network stability, security and performance across key enterprise technologies.
This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while supporting business-critical network and security services.
What you’ll do
- Manage and resolve 2nd and 3rd line BAU tickets
- Troubleshoot issues across Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies
- Monitor network performance and security alerts within a NOC setting
- Support incident response and root-cause analysis
- Assist with configuration updates, optimisation and maintenance
You’ll collaborate with infrastructure, SOC and operational teams to maintain secure and reliable network services.
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in 2nd/3rd line network or security engineering
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking
- Working knowledge of Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
- Confident troubleshooting across routing, switching, VPNs and firewalls
- Experience working in BAU and ITIL-driven environments
