Your role as Front-end developer

You will be working on simplifying a traditionally complex business, turning it into an intuitive and worldwide scalable product that enables companies to manage logistics in a more time and cost-efficient way. You’ll work on a shipping platform that is growing fast and to which many new features are constantly being added. Together with the team, you (pro) actively contribute to developing new features and are responsible for the technical future of the platform. Your opinion and ideas really matter at Shypple. The focus of this position is on the user interface, where you will ensure the application is intuitive and works as well as it looks. You will work closely together with analysts, designers, and the actual users of the application.

Regular activities

• Build, test, and maintain our core applications using React and TypeScript;
• Implement and refine responsive user interfaces using Material-UI (MUI) and Emotion.
• Ensure Quality by writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, and E2E) using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
• Manage complex form logic and validation using react-hook-form.

We ask

You are a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment. You value code quality, maintainability, and robust testing, and you are comfortable being productive with minimal supervision.

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in building and maintaining React applications using TypeScript;
• You have experience designing, building, and maintaining growing applications.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English;
• You are a proactive problem-solver with a strong team-player mentality.

Work location

We are open to remote work, but candidates must be based in the European time zone. However, relocation to the Netherlands is preferred, and we offer a relocation package to assist with the move.
