Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Team Lead Full Stack Engineering in Germany.

As a Team Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will shape the technical direction of a fast-growing EdTech platform, leading an interdisciplinary team to deliver scalable and innovative digital learning solutions. You will drive architectural decisions, modernize infrastructure, and implement best practices across frontend and backend systems. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical migration projects, enhance system performance, and foster a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. You will collaborate closely with product and cloud operations teams to deliver impactful solutions while mentoring your team and influencing the technical vision of the platform. Flexibility, autonomy, and a focus on technical excellence will be central to your daily work.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the full-stack engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Define and execute the technical strategy for backend and frontend systems, including architectural decisions and technology roadmap
  • Drive infrastructure modernization, including migration from ECS to Kubernetes and database consolidation from Neo4j to PostgreSQL
  • Modernize frontend systems using technologies such as TypeScript, React, and Material UI, ensuring consistency with a design system
  • Oversee system performance, scalability, and reliability, implementing best practices and code reviews
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Ops, Product Management, and other stakeholders to execute complex technical projects


Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software development, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
  • Strong expertise in Python (Django & FastAPI) and proficiency in TypeScript and React
  • Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimization, data modeling, and complex queries
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Datadog, and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Cursor AI is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and balance technical excellence with business value
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of inspiring and leading a team effectively
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German is desirable
