A fast-growing AI fintech startup is hiring a Frontend/Design Engineer to shape the user experience of the next generation of financial products. This is a unique hybrid design + engineering role where you'll craft elegant interfaces, own product flows end-to-end, and directly influence how modern startups run HR, payroll, and compliance.

As a Design Engineer, you'll sit at the intersection of product design, frontend engineering, and brand. You’ll design flows used by thousands of operators, transform complex financial operations into intuitive UX, and implement frontend experiences that directly impact conversion, engagement, and user delight. You’ll work across web, mobile, and marketing surfaces, shipping high-quality, visually polished experiences that scale as the company grows.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Product Design & Frontend Development
- Design, build, and maintain core product flows across web and mobile
- Establish scalable design systems and component libraries
- Implement high-quality UI using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Tailwind
Brand, Growth, & Marketing Design
- Create landing pages, marketing assets, social content, posters, and merch
- Maintain brand consistency across all touchpoints
Design System Leadership
- Develop and maintain design tokens, documentation, and reusable components
- Build tooling and workflows that streamline the entire design → dev pipeline
Rapid Prototyping
- Use Figma and AI tools to quickly experiment with UX concepts
- Validate ideas through prototypes before implementation
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, engineering, and sales to translate business requirements into beautiful, functional interfaces
- Contribute to the long-term product vision, simplifying complex financial workflows
🧩 What We're Looking For
- 1–6 years experience in frontend engineering or design-engineering roles
- Strong visual design instincts and design thinking mindset
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind, and Figma
- Passion for polished product craftsmanship and user-centric design
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial energy, no routine 9–5 mindset
