We are seeking a motivated and innovative Systems Engineer II to join our Systems Excellence Department at our St. Petersburg, FL location. As a new college graduate, you will be instrumental in contributing to all phases of the product development lifecycle, including systems and software requirements, system architecture and design, software integration and test, simulation and test, integration and test, verification, and sell-off. Systems engineering is all about collaboration. Collaboration with other systems and software engineers on your team, collaboration with other engineering disciplines throughout design and development, and collaboration with program leadership and customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team of professionals with the responsibility of defining the requirements, design, and architecture of subsystems that comprise the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) product line, as part of Advanced Networking Solutions (ANS).
  • Participate in the systems development lifecycle, including trade study execution, system design, requirements definition, requirements allocation, requirement traceability, systems integration, verification testing and qualification. 
  • Collaborate across many engineering disciplines to execute program milestones

  • You will obtain invaluable experience working with our CEC subject matter experts in addition to supporting our customer base, and cross-functional integrated product team.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Master’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date -SECRET CLEARANCE
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer :

  • Experience in the operation, test, and troubleshooting of Naval systems
  • Development of integration, verification, and validation planning documentation of integration and test plans, procedures, reports, status reports, and other related documentation
  • Experience with Agile development, including project estimating, reporting, and backlog management
  • Experience in programming C/C++, Python, or other programming languages. Knowledgeable in Linux. Experience with DevSecOps/TDD/BDD; Security+
  • Experience with automated test scripting and automated data analysis

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
