Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications while supporting the full software development lifecycle.
As a Software Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
- Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions to meet them
- Plan, design, implement, test, and maintain portions of software applications
- Develop and maintain software planning and requirements documentation
- Contribute to user manuals and software support documentation
- Participate in software testing, validation, and verification
- Support software anomaly resolution and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed
- U.S. Citizenship
- B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Entry level, 0+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and real-time applications
- Proficiency in procedural and object-based programming languages
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Eligible to obtain a final security clearance (required for this role)
- Experience working within the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) framework and Agile Methodology framework.
- Familiarity with high-level abstraction and low-level machine languages, including OS and gate-level logic architecture
