Torch Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer I to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications while supporting the full software development lifecycle.

As a Software Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze user requirements and develop software solutions to meet them
  • Plan, design, implement, test, and maintain portions of software applications
  • Develop and maintain software planning and requirements documentation
  • Contribute to user manuals and software support documentation
  • Participate in software testing, validation, and verification
  • Support software anomaly resolution and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Entry level, 0+ years of experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD clearance
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems and real-time applications
  • Proficiency in procedural and object-based programming languages
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Eligible to obtain a final security clearance (required for this role)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) framework and Agile Methodology framework.
  • Familiarity with high-level abstraction and low-level machine languages, including OS and gate-level logic architecture
