We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with hands-on experience in Terraform, Terraform Cloud, Azure DevOps, Ansible, and infrastructure automation. This role will design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure platforms across hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and driving engineering excellence through DevOps best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Terraform Cloud, ensuring repeatable and secure deployments.
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines (AzDo) for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of platform infrastructure and services.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to automate configuration management and system provisioning.
- Partner with development, security, and operations teams to create reusable, reliable, and scalable platform solutions.
- Maintain and enhance platform automation and orchestration tools across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Ensure infrastructure meets compliance, security, and governance standards by integrating policy-as-code and DevSecOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, driving root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Review and improve automation and platform code to ensure best practices in code quality, version control, testing, and documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to internal technical documentation, and playbooks.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (scrum, retrospectives, sprint planning) to plan and deliver on team objectives.
REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation role.
- Deep expertise in Terraform, including module design, state management, and Terraform Cloud workflows.
- Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (AzDo), including multi-stage YAML pipelines.
- Proficiency with Ansible, including creating and managing custom roles, playbooks, and inventories.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native infrastructure (primarily Azure, optionally AWS or GCP).
- Solid scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting practices (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Dynatrace).
- Knowledge of Git, version control best practices, and infrastructure testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
PREFERRED:
- Experience working with and implementing AI tools such as Azure OpenAI, AI, Chat GPT, etc.
- Experience with Terraform Cloud for Business, including Sentinel policies and team collaboration features.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure Security, including Key Vault, RBAC, and network isolation (VNets, NSGs).
- Exposure to configuration compliance and policy enforcement tools (e.g., Azure Policy, TFC Sentinel).
- Experience with other DevOps tools (e.g., Packer, Vault Radar, ARM Template).
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
