Electrical Engineer – Hardware
📍 Netherlands (On-site) | 🕓 Full-time | 🏷️ Engineering - Electrical Design
Are you a skilled Hardware Engineer with a passion for designing high-quality electrical systems for industrial environments?
We are looking for an experienced engineer to take ownership of hardware design, panel layout, documentation, and communication within multidisciplinary project teams
Role Responsibilities
As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing electrical hardware for industrial installations, including main distribution, sub-distribution, and PLC/automation panels.
- Producing and standardizing designs using E-Plan and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Selecting electrical components and ensuring correct material specifications.
- Creating and maintaining the technical documentation package.
- Ensuring all designs comply with relevant standards such as NEN 1010, Machinery Directive, low-voltage regulations, and ATEX where applicable.
- Collaborating closely with project managers, software engineers, suppliers, and clients.
- Supporting purchasing with technical input for component and system selection.
- Participating in internal design reviews and ensuring quality and consistency across all hardware deliverables.
- Working with 3D layouts (a plus, not required).
Your Profile:
- A completed Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or similar.
- Proven experience as a Hardware Engineer or Electrical Designer in industrial projects.
- Proficiency in E-Plan (preferred) and/or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and applicable regulations.
- Ability to work independently within project frameworks, managing your planning and deliverables.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive, structured mindset with a focus on quality and safety.
