We are currently seeking a Junior Cyber Engineer to support operations in Charleston, SC. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Top Secret Level clearance.

This position may be subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Act (SCLS)/Service Contract Act (SCA).

What You’ll Do

  • Deploys Enterprise Cybersecurity Tools: Supports the implementation and configuration of enterprise-level security platforms to enable advanced threat hunting, anomaly detection, and real-time monitoring across distributed networks.
  • Implements Network Visibility Solutions: Installs and configures network inspection tools and packet capture systems to enhance situational awareness, support incident response, and ensure comprehensive traffic analysis in support of cybersecurity operations.
  • Performs Equipment Installation with Precision: Conducts physical installation of IT and network hardware, ensuring optimal placement and adherence to best practices for cable management to support long-term system reliability, maintainability, and visual organization

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent
  • 6+ months of professional experience
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Experience deploying enterprise cybersecurity tools to support advanced threat hunting and enhance network defense capabilities.
  • Proficiency in implementing network inspection and packet capture systems to monitor traffic, support forensic analysis, and improve overall network visibility.
  • Skilled in the installation of IT and networking equipment, with a strong focus on clean, efficient, and standards-based cable management.
  • Certifications:
  • Dependent upon PWS tasking, individual shall be certified as Information Assurance Management (IAM) or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) Level I (position-based) per DoD 8570
  • Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies

Travel & Passport

  • Up to 20%travel CONUS may be required; some weeklong stays possible.

Work Environment

  • Compliance with vaccination and medical requirements for TDY/OCONUS roles as per Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil.

Office Setting

  • Primarily an office-based role in Charleston, SC
  • Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.

  • Drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance
