We’re working with a highly respected organisation in the professional services sector that’s modernising its digital estate and embedding automation into the heart of its engineering culture. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QA professional who’s passionate about test automation and eager to have real influence across development practices.

Why This Role is Great

This is more than just writing tests. You'll be a key player in shaping how quality is embedded across the entire delivery pipeline.

  • Take ownership of test automation using tools like Playwright, SpecFlow, and Postman
  • Contribute to test strategy and planning alongside product and engineering teams
  • Build robust automation frameworks in C# within a cloud-first (Azure) environment
  • Apply performance testing knowledge using tools like JMeter
  • Support CI/CD initiatives and shift-left testing culture
  • Mentor junior team members and be a voice for quality across the board
  • Work fully remotely with only occasional in-person sessions in the South West (typically fortnightly or monthly)

What You’ll Be Working With

  • End-to-end test automation in Playwright, SpecFlow and Postman
  • Cloud-native platform experience, especially within Microsoft Azure
  • Agile delivery methods with focus on early feedback and continuous improvement
  • CI/CD tooling and collaborative agile ceremonies
  • Exploratory, white-box, smoke and performance testing practices
  • A supportive, multidisciplinary team that values knowledge-sharing

About You

This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on while also influencing best practices. If you’ve got most of the following, we’d love to hear from you:

  • Proficient in C# or another modern object-oriented language
  • Strong grasp of automated testing and experience building test frameworks from scratch
  • Familiarity with Playwright, SpecFlow, Postman, and performance testing tools like JMeter
  • Knowledge of Azure or other cloud environments
  • Comfortable working alongside software engineers and product stakeholders
  • Good understanding of agile principles and continuous delivery
  • Enjoy mentoring others and leading by example in delivery teams
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Package & Perks

This is a fixed-term contract role offering a competitive £65,000. In addition, you’ll get access to a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

  • 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), pro-rated if applicable
  • Life assurance, income protection and matched pension contributions
  • Healthcare cash plan with options for private medical and other health-related policies
  • Lifestyle perks such as gym discounts, tech purchasing schemes, and cycle to work
  • Access to discounted insurance products and high-street retailer offers
  • 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme for personal wellbeing and support
