Founding Engineer, Full Stack (Product-Minded)

We are building a unified platform that streamlines the use of large language models (LLMs) to build and deploy applications at scale. We are seeking a Founding Full Stack Engineer to own the entire application layer, driving developer productivity by providing a single pane of glass for data collection, model evaluation, training, and deployment.

As a Founding Engineer, you will be a product-minded generalist responsible for the entire feature lifecycle. You'll primarily focus on the backend systems that interface with our core machine learning (ML) stack, ensuring a scalable and reliable platform for our customers.

What You'll Do:

• Own Features End-to-End: Take high-impact projects from concept through design, implementation, launch, and iteration, working across the full stack
• Build Application Layer: Design and implement user-facing dashboards and critical developer tooling for monitoring, evaluating, and managing ML models
• Design Backend Systems: Design and implement robust APIs and backend systems that interface directly with our ML routing and training stack
• Lead Architecture: Drive foundational architecture decisions regarding system design, scalability, reliability, and deployment
• Influence Product: Lead and influence product decisions by working directly with early customers to understand pain points and shape the strategic roadmap
  
  

Requirements

This role is for an engineer who thrives on ownership and has a strong foundation in modern web technologies, with a bias toward complex backend and infrastructure challenges.

• 1+ years of professional experience building full stack applications
• Proficiency with modern frameworks, including React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Comfort working across the entire stack, with a bias toward backend systems and owning large, impactful projects
• Bonus points if you have experience deploying and scaling applications in the cloud, utilizing tools like AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Bonus points for a background in dev tools or data infrastructure
  
  

Work Policy:

• This is a full-time, on-site position in San Francisco
• Visa sponsorship is available for TN visas and H-1B transfers. Other visa types will be considered on a case-by-case basis
