Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Platform)

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site, 4-5 days/week)

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $120K - $180K

We are a rapidly growing, Series A-funded technology company (backed by top-tier VCs) providing an AI platform for building and deploying automated communication workers in the complex logistics and supply chain industry. We are looking for a versatile engineer with unstoppable energy and a relentless drive to maximize customer value.

This role requires a unique blend of strong technical skills (Python) and exceptional communication abilities. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of customer engineering and technical development, serving as the critical link between our AI platform and our enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with customers, from initial onboarding through ongoing use, ensuring they maximize the value of our AI automation solutions
• Manage and implement APIs and integration tools to ensure robust connections with various third-party systems used by clients
• Perform LLM prompting and tuning of AI voices and transcribers, constantly iterating to perfect use cases for automated communication workers (phone calls, email, messages)
• Contribute to full-stack development (React, TypeScript, Node.js) when needed, including building new features or entire Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
• Own the technical success and adoption of our AI solutions for customers primarily within the logistics, freight, and supply chain sectors
• Identify opportunities for new AI applications and translate customer needs into technical requirements for the core engineering team
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 2 - 6 years of experience as a Software Engineer (SWE) with a proven track record of strong customer-facing skills
• Full-Stack Comfort: High proficiency across the stack, including Python (backend focus) and client-side technologies like React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• AI/ML Application Experience: Practical experience building and shipping AI/ML applications in a production environment
• Integration Skills: Expertise in managing and designing APIs for integration with various external systems
• Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to a range of non-technical and technical stakeholders
• Visa: Open to sponsoring most work visas, with the exception of net-new H1Bs
