Job Description
A global brand are seeking an experienced Okta Engineer to design, implement, and maintain identity and access management (IAM) ecosystem with a focus on Okta solutions. The ideal candidate will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Okta, ensuring secure, scalable, and seamless authentication and authorization experiences across all enterprise applications.
This will be a 100% remote position based from the United States.
Initial 2 months+ contract with the opportunity for extensions.
Key Responsibilities:
Okta Administration & Engineering
- Design, implement, and manage Okta workflows, policies, and integrations.
- Configure and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management (LCM).
- Integrate Okta with SaaS, on-prem, and custom applications using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and API-based connections.
Identity Lifecycle Management
- Automate user provisioning/deprovisioning through Okta and HR systems.
- Manage group memberships, access requests, and delegated administration.
Security & Compliance
- Implement and enforce identity governance best practices.
- Conduct periodic access reviews and support compliance audits (SOX, ISO, SOC2, etc.).
- Monitor for suspicious activity and optimize MFA and conditional access policies.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop scripts and workflows using Okta Workflows, PowerShell, Python, or APIs.
- Streamline IAM operations and improve efficiency through automation.
Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide tier-3 support for IAM-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve integration issues.
