Position: Data Quality Analyst / Data Tester Location: Remote Work Duration: 6 Months

Mandatory Skills:

  • Retail domain experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, with the ability to adapt queries to Oracle and Postgres platforms.
  • Experience in data validation testing and troubleshooting data issues independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across distributed teams.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of automation testing frameworks or scripting (e.g., Python, Selenium, or similar).
  • Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks for understanding data flow and transformation logic.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end functional and data testing across retail business processes without dependency on detailed documentation.
  • Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across SQL Server, Oracle, and Postgres databases.
  • Validate data pipelines, transformations, and reports in collaboration with development and QA teams.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings effectively to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with the team during EST working hours 9AM to 5PM EST.
  • Maintain clear test evidence and documentation aligned with QA and audit standards.
  • Participate in release cycles, data migrations, and regression testing for critical data components.
