Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled NOC Engineer with strong experience in network infrastructure operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting. In this role, you will support the end-to-end lifecycle of network systems — from configuration and deployment to maintenance and performance optimization. You will work across multiple network domains, ensuring stability, efficiency, and uptime within a dynamic, high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, migrate, and maintain network systems ensuring performance and availability.
- Monitor and investigate network performance, triage and troubleshoot incidents, and provide timely remediation.
- Process RMAs, handle hardware replacements/upgrades, and maintain documentation according to best practices.
- Develop and execute Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and contribute to network migration and circuit turn-ups.
- Provide advanced technical feedback for network performance management, routing, and switching.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Design and implement automation and scripting solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed process flows, operational documentation, and knowledge base content.
- Identify network capacity and performance bottlenecks to ensure continuous service availability.
- Support the ongoing maintenance and improvement of network monitoring tools and utilities.
- Serve as a liaison between customer-facing teams, network operations, and vendor support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a NOC or network operations environment.
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, and/or Nokia network platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch and router configuration and management.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF routing protocols.
- Proven experience with telecom or carrier network troubleshooting and service restoration.
- Working knowledge of DNS and scripting for network automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Skills
- Telecom network experience (carrier-grade environments a plus).
- Experience with performance management tools and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with RMA processes and hardware lifecycle management.
