Firm: Top New York Hedge Fund
Role: Senior / Staff Software Engineer – AI Core Systems
Tech Stack: Python, C++/Java, AWS, GCP, Kafka, ClickHouse, Kubernetes, MLOps
Compensation: $200,000–$350,000 base + all cash bonus
Location: NYC (Hybrid, relocation available)

The firm is fully committed to building an AI powerhouse and expanding its AI Core Engineering team, the group responsible for designing and scaling the systems behind next-generation AI-driven research and trading platforms.
You’d be joining a small, senior engineering team that’s building at scale, solving complex distributed problems, and driving the foundation of the firm’s AI strategy. Your work will have a firm-wide impact, shaping how data, research, and trading teams utilise AI, with direct visibility to senior leadership and the C-suite.
You’ll work on:
- Building and scaling distributed systems for AI and data pipelines
- Designing infrastructure for model training, orchestration, and inference
- Optimizing performance, reliability, and system throughput
- Collaborating closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and researchers
They’re looking for:
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong in Python, and C++ or Java
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, messaging, and data pipelines
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes, and tools like Kafka, ClickHouse, or Postgres
- Background in ML infrastructure or large-scale data environments is a plus
- Clear communication, technical depth, and an ownership mindset
