Job Description
Nova is partnered with an AI startup building training environments for agentic models, working with leading AI labs to help train the next generation of intelligent systems. They’ve raised $5M+, hit 7-figure ARR in their first 6 months, and are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help scale their core infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and scale backend + infra systems (Python, Go, TypeScript) powering AI training environments
- Collaborate directly with researchers at top AI labs to design and deploy new agentic workflows
- Shape technical direction and engineering culture as one of the first 10 engineers
- Own projects end-to-end in a fast-moving, high-impact environment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong backend experience (Python, Go, or TypeScript)
- Interest in agentic AI, simulation environments, or large-scale distributed systems
- Builder mindset - thrives in ambiguity and loves solving hard problems
- Founding engineer or early-stage startup experience a big plus
