Telespazio Belgium can count on almost 40 years of experience in the field of Space Operations Service & Engineering activities.

On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Navigation Systems Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.

Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration

What is expected from you:

  • Contribute to the definition, analysis, and consolidation of system requirements and their flow down to segments, focussing on the Galileo Open Service Authentication (OS-A) Service.
  • Support the development and design of simulators (SW) aimed in verifying compliance of technical documentation with the service concept.
  • Support system reviews through projects’ lifecycle on system engineering aspects, interfacing with other contractor companies, ESA and Galileo stakeholders.
  • Elaboration of technical and contractual documentation (DCN/DCP, RFW/RFD, DDF, DJF, IRDs, etc) related to OS-A Galileo service.
  • Plan and follow tasks in a structured and pre-agreed manner with managers and stakeholders.
  • Work in an international team and in cooperation with system engineering and security experts.

What you offer :

  • Master’s degree in aerospace, telecommunications, cybersecurity or other related engineering and science disciplines. PhD is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in space system engineering applied to GNSS (Experience in Galileo is an asset).
  • Knowledge of cryptography, key management and secure communication network protocols, preferably applied to GNSS.
  • Good programming skills in Matlab, Python and/or C++.
  • Basic Knowledge of requirements management processes and MBSE tools (e.g., Capella).
  • A Scaled Agile certification is considered an asset.
  • Eligible for security clearance from their national security administration is a must.
  • Proficient in English, speaking other European languages is an asset

Where:

You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
