We are seeking an experienced mobile engineer to lead the design, development, and technical direction of mobile applications that directly impact users, including patients, families, and clinical staff. This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities, guiding the mobile strategy, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions, and mentoring other engineers. You will work closely with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, build integrations, and drive innovation in mobile workflows. Accountabilities:
- Lead the vision, design, and development of mobile applications, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions that meet user needs
- Build and manage integrations with third-party systems to support workflows and enhance functionality
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, including code reviews and best practices
- Research, select, and implement libraries, frameworks, and tools to meet business and technical objectives
- Debug production issues and provide timely resolutions, maintaining high reliability for end users
- Advocate for high-quality engineering standards, including testing, monitoring, and documentation
- 5+ years of experience developing and deploying web applications and cross-platform mobile applications (Flutter, React Native, or Ionic)
- Proficiency in APIs, webhooks, state management, and modern mobile architectures
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
- Experience collaborating in agile teams and providing constructive feedback in code reviews
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and modern web technologies (React, TypeScript, Golang) is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment with tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of scaling mobile systems, user experience, and best practices for mobile application development
