Location: Remote in the U.S.
Duration: Contract thru end of 2026, likely extensions
Schedule: M-F 9a-5p local time zone
Pay Rate: 55-60/hr
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant networking experience
- Proven experience in implementing SASE and SD-Wan solutions in Fortinet
- Handson experience designing, building, deploying and maintaining complex network infrastructures
- Strong familiarity with point-to-point transport, EBAS, EWAS and VPN circuit configurations
Job Description:
A leading telecommunications company is seeking a fully remote Fortinet Engineer for a contract extending through 2026. This role will support multiple mid-market clients from a network perspective, managing both simple and complex activations for SD-WAN, Fortinet, and SASE solutions, with a primary focus on scheduled SD-WAN/SASE deployments and maintenance activities. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues related to SD-WAN configurations, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, firewall rules, Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), network hardware (CPE), and internet access products. Collaboration with Project Managers and Design Engineers is essential to ensure successful implementation and adoption of sold solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven experience deploying SD-WAN, Fortinet, and SASE technologies, a strong understanding of routing protocols and firewall configurations, and hands-on experience with Zero Trust Network Architecture and network hardware. Additional requirements include expertise in complex routing policies, multi-site transport customer support, and knowledge of SASE security components such as remote user access and CTNA. Candidates should possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and 5–7 years of networking experience encompassing implementation, deployment, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
