Job Description
Official title of this position will be Director or Senior Director. This is an individual contributor role. Can be based in either Irvine or San Diego CA and will be 50% travel required. Full relocation provided if candidates do not currently reside in Southern CA. Must love being in front of customers!
Must-haves:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 15 years of experience, or MS + 13 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 10 years of experience
- 6+ years in the field of silicon product life cycle, broadband industry standards and products (DOCSIS/PON), Wi-Fi standards, generations and products, or 5G and cellular infrastructure
- 4+ years of experience leading aggressive and results-driven product management or business development for infrastructure products relying on market research, data gathering, differentiation analysis, and relationship nurturing
- Excellent interpersonal skills and existing network of relationships in telecom and cable service provider industry

Insight Global is looking to hire a Director or Sr Director Business Development leader for a SoCal-based semiconductor company. This will be a relationship-driven role so you can expect to be traveling 50% in North American (US and Canada) to directly interface with operators about the company's 5G infrastructure, Wi-Fi, broadband products. Your day-to-day will involve building new relationships to expand the company's presence among the top 20 global service providers and cable operators. This will involve creation and maintenance of revenue and unit forecasts, RFP review, supply chain analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams like engineering and marketing to review Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and analyze competitive threats and other trends to achieve collective business goals. You will report directly into the VP Wireless Infrastructure. This is an individual contributor role with potential to expand into leadership within the company if desired.

Salary range in base salary: $170,000 to $250,000
