Job Description
Job role: Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote work (Anywhere in Europe)
Mandatory skill required : AWS Infrastructure management with experience in Terraform
Key Responsibilities
•Production Deployment & Operations: Execute and automate production deployments, monitor system health, troubleshoot complex production incidents, and maintain high availability.
•Infrastructure Architecture: Assist in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure solutions for production environments.
•Tooling & Automation: Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to manage and provision production resources consistently and efficiently.
•Specialized Expertise: Apply deep knowledge in either Database Administration (DBA) or Networking to resolve specialized issues, optimize performance, and guide architectural decisions in that domain.
•Collaboration: Work closely with core Development and Infrastructure teams to ensure smooth handoffs and alignment on architectural standards.
•Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for production setups, deployment processes, and specialized configurations.
Required Qualifications:
Primary (Core Infrastructure & Automation)
These are the essential, non-negotiable skills for managing our production environment:
•Amazon Web Services (AWS): Expert-level proficiency with core AWS services (e.g., EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch).
•Terraform (Infrastructure as Code - IaC): Strong practical experience using Terraform to provision, manage, and scale complex cloud infrastructure in a production setting.
•Deployment & CI/CD: Proven experience with deployment pipelines and processes in a production-focused, high-availability environment.
•Scripting: Proficiency in a relevant scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and operational tasks.
Secondary (Specialized Background Expertise)
Option: Networking Background
•Deep understanding and practical experience with cloud networking on AWS (VPC, Subnets, Routing, Security Groups, NACLs, Transit Gateway) and general networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing).
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
•Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).
•Experience operating within a nearshore or distributed team model.
