Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Mobile Engineer in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of mobile applications that directly impact the lives of users and support critical operational workflows. As a Lead Mobile Engineer, you will own the technical vision for mobile platforms, building scalable, high-quality systems while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering teams. You will mentor junior engineers, review code, and provide technical oversight to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance across applications. This position requires a combination of hands-on development, leadership, and strategic decision-making, with a focus on cross-platform mobile frameworks and modern backend integration. The role emphasizes innovation, problem-solving, and delivering solutions that meet business objectives while delighting end users. Fully remote, this position offers flexibility while engaging in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of cross-platform mobile applications
  • Build scalable, maintainable, and well-tested software systems with robust monitoring and metrics
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, reviewing code and guiding best practices
  • Manage integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms
  • Ensure mobile applications adhere to high standards of performance, reliability, and usability
  • Research and leverage tools, libraries, and frameworks to optimize development efficiency
  • Participate in agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and iterative delivery


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and deploying advanced web and mobile applications
  • 5+ years of experience developing production-ready cross-platform mobile apps using frameworks such as Flutter, React Native, or Ionic
  • Strong proficiency in mobile application architecture, API integration, and state management
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including debugging production issues and identifying architectural improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts clearly
  • Experience in healthcare technologies is a plus
  • Familiarity with backend technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and modern development workflows
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, remote environments with tight deadlines
