We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Architect to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable enterprise IT systems. This role requires deep expertise across cloud platforms, automation, and scripting, with the ability to support complex, integrated environments. You will collaborate closely with IT teams and business units to enhance operational efficiency, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical knowledge with strong leadership and mentorship skills, helping to advance best practices across infrastructure technologies. This is a remote role focused on West Coast-based candidates, offering the chance to influence the architecture of large-scale systems and improve user experiences across the organization.
Accountabilities:
- Design, build, and operate enterprise infrastructure across cloud platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS
- Develop automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and lifecycle management using scripting and tools like Azure Automation Runbooks, PowerShell, and Graph API
- Integrate and support enterprise systems across business units, ensuring secure data exchange and interoperability
- Maintain and enhance infrastructure and security architectures in line with organizational standards and zero-trust principles
- Define technical specifications and solutions following ITIL and change management best practices
- Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, ensuring documented RTO/RPO objectives and tested procedures
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues affecting reliability, security, or user experience
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentorship, promoting team skills and operational excellence
- 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles with similar scope and responsibility
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud operations (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS) and their core services
- Strong hands-on experience with automation, scripting, and enterprise system lifecycle management
- Proficiency in device, identity, and access management across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms
- Solid understanding of IT service management, change control, operational continuity, and zero-trust security principles
- Experience with enterprise networking, including DNS, VPNs, WAF, and cloud networking services (EC2, VPC, Transit Gateway, S3, CloudFront)
- Ability to design, optimize, troubleshoot, and document complex systems
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field
- Must reside on the West Coast of the United States
