You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining security tools, processes, and controls to protect enterprise systems and sensitive data. This position combines hands-on technical work with strategic initiatives, including incident response, Zero Trust implementation, and cloud security. You will collaborate closely with engineering, IT, and cross-functional teams to implement security best practices, automate processes, and reduce risk. The role offers the opportunity to influence critical security programs while working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and strong technical expertise are essential to succeed in this role.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead security operations and incident response efforts, supporting SIEM, EDR, CNAAP, email security, and other security tools
  • Assist in developing threat detections, automated remediation playbooks, and escalation processes
  • Strengthen Zero Trust architecture through implementation of tools and controls, including Cloudflare WARP, IAM systems, and endpoint security policies
  • Support application security initiatives, including secure SDLC practices, threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and developer guidance
  • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to secure cloud environments, manage alerts, enforce infrastructure standards, and implement security automation in CI/CD pipelines
  • Maintain documentation, processes, and standards for consistent and repeatable security operations

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a security engineering role, ideally in a cloud-native or startup environment
  • Strong experience in security operations, including administration of SIEM, EDR, CNAAP, email security, and SOAR tools
  • Proficiency in threat detection design, automation, and escalation management
  • Experience implementing Zero Trust principles, IAM solutions, and security monitoring controls
  • Scripting proficiency (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks
  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Self-starter with a proactive, process-improvement mindset and a passion for reducing organizational risk
  • Nice to have: knowledge of IaC (e.g., Terraform), compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, NIST CSF), cloud security certifications, and familiarity with application development languages

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 per year
  • 100% remote work within the USA
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, including employer-paid premiums
  • Health Savings Account contributions for eligible plans
  • Flexible vacation plan and 10 paid company holidays
  • Employer-paid life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) with traditional and Roth options, including employer match
  • Company equity participation
  • Paid parental and pregnancy recovery leave
  • Company and team off-sites, virtual events, and home office stipend
