Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Engineer in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure that supports enterprise applications and digital transformation initiatives. The Cloud Engineer will work closely with architecture and engineering teams to optimize cloud resources, automate deployments, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. You will support both cloud migrations and hybrid environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide guidance on best practices for infrastructure as code and monitoring. This fully remote position allows for collaboration across teams nationwide while making a tangible impact on operational efficiency and business outcomes. Accountabilities:

 

  • Collaborate with architecture teams to design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and manage CI/CD pipelines
  • Configure monitoring tools, analyze system performance, and optimize cloud resources for efficiency and cost savings
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM, API security, network security, and application security (SCA/DAST/SAST)
  • Support compliance initiatives such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST through proper configuration and documentation
  • Assist in planning and executing cloud migrations and integrations with legacy systems and third-party platforms
  • Provide Tier 1/2 support for cloud infrastructure issues and troubleshoot service and integration problems

     

Maintain clear documentation of cloud architecture, processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
  • Proficiency with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration in cloud environments
  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Preferred but not required: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, experience with Azure DevOps, ARM templates, Azure Policy, hybrid cloud environments, and Databricks
