About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Test Automation Engineer with advanced Golang expertise and strong experience in API and cloud-based testing.
This position focuses on designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions for large-scale distributed systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and quality in a dynamic cloud environment.
The ideal candidate has more than two years of hands-on experience with Go in professional settings and a strong backend or full-stack focus, not limited to front-end automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Go (Golang).
- Build and execute automated test suites for APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to create comprehensive test strategies.
- Conduct manual validation when necessary to verify complex cloud scenarios.
- Generate and maintain synthetic test data for automated and UI testing environments.
- Identify and close test coverage gaps across microservices.
- Migrate existing test suites to modern frameworks (e.g., Pigeon V2 or similar).
- Ensure test pipelines include proper documentation, monitoring, and alerting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Test Automation or SDET roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang) for automation development.
- 3+ years testing cloud-based systems and APIs.
- Expertise in synthetic data generation, schema validation, and data modeling.
- Strong understanding of distributed environments and cloud testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a remote, cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Playwright or similar UI automation tools.
- Experience working with multi-tenant cloud platforms.
- Exposure to cybersecurity or SaaS environments.
