Senior React Native Developer (E-commerce Modernization)

Job Description

Optomi in partnership with one of our top clients is seeking a talented React Native Developer to help lead and support a large-scale migration from an Adobe-based front-end ecosystem to a modern React Native platform. This initiative focuses on unifying and modernizing three core digital experiences — Web, Android, and iOS — to deliver seamless, high-performance applications across all customer touchpoints.

You’ll be joining a collaborative, fast-moving team at the forefront of this transformation, helping to establish best practices, mentor junior developers, and deliver production-quality, customer-facing solutions for a high-traffic e-commerce environment.

Experience of the Right Candidate:

• 10+ years (Senior) of front-end/mobile development experience

• Strong expertise in React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development

• Experience with cross-platform mobile and web development (Android, iOS, Web)

• Familiarity with Payload CMS and integrating APIs across multiple platforms

• Background in e-commerce, retail, or grocery environments highly preferred

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams

• Prior experience in large-scale migration or modernization projects a plus

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:

• Design, develop, and implement React Native applications across web and mobile platforms

• Lead or contribute to a major front-end modernization from Adobe to React Native

• Collaborate closely with backend developers, architects, and product owners to deliver seamless user experiences

• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance of all front-end solutions

• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and architecture discussions

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing internal React Native standards

• Deliver clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

• Contribute effectively from day one in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
