We are seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer to join a dynamic, cross-functional squad and help build scalable digital platforms used across multiple industries. In this role, you will contribute to designing frameworks, implementing features, and improving backend systems that directly impact client applications. You will collaborate closely with designers, front-end engineers, and project managers to ensure high-quality, efficient delivery of solutions. Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with squad members to research, plan, and estimate feature development and feasibility
- Design and implement backend frameworks, such as file exports, rate limiting, and platform gems, supporting multiple client platforms
- Build and maintain GraphQL and REST APIs, ensuring reliable performance and scalability across production environments
- Design, optimize, and maintain databases for performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Participate in team retrospectives to identify challenges, suggest improvements, and enhance development processes
- Contribute to code quality, documentation, and structured development practices, including PRs and JIRA ticket management
- Deploy applications to staging and production environments using automated tools like GitHub Actions
- Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development
- Proficiency in API design and implementation (GraphQL and REST)
- Solid understanding of database design, optimization, and backend components, including app servers, caches, and data storage
- Experience building scalable digital platforms deployed to production environments
- Independent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in identifying and addressing challenges
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
