Position: Test & Verification Engineer - Experienced to Technical Lead Level

Location: Onsite - Cambridge, MA

Duration: 12+Months

Overview: Seeking Test & Verification Engineers across multiple experience levels (Experienced, Senior, and Technical Lead/Subject Matter Expert) to support a new software engineering initiative focused on CI/CD pipelines and AI tool integration. This role involves hands-on development and execution of software and hardware testing strategies, particularly in avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain test environments replicating production systems, including hardware, software, and network setups.
  • Design and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios to validate software functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Identify and report defects, issues, and vulnerabilities during testing; provide actionable feedback to improve software quality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define software requirements, test objectives, and strategies.
  • Document and manage test artifacts, metrics, and data in compliance with privacy and security standards.
  • Lead Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) automation efforts for system-level testing of avionics platforms.
  • Perform project management tasks related to test and verification across cross-functional teams.

Senior-Level Expectations (Level 4):

  • Lead the setup and configuration of complex test environments.
  • Collaborate with CI/CD and DevSecOps teams to integrate deployment pipelines with HIL testing.
  • Utilize AI tools in HIL development (familiarity preferred but not required).
  • Proficient in NI TestStand, NI VeriStand, NI LabVIEW, or similar platforms for HIL automation.
  • Hands-on experience with NI PXIe systems and hardware integration.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with avionics communication protocols (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN) and display system validation.
  • Experience with FPGA testing/architecture is a plus.
  • Skilled in data acquisition, signal processing, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in software engineering, or Master's degree with 1+ year of experience.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Cambridge, MA.
  • Relocation is not provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in modern HIL techniques and/or AI tool usage.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance if sponsored.

Education/Experience Requirements for Senior Level:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience (e.g., PhD + 1 year, Master + 3 years) are acceptable.
