Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer, DevSecOps in India.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Security Engineer to join a dynamic DevSecOps team, focusing on building and maintaining secure infrastructure, software, and automation for cloud-based systems. In this role, you will design and implement solutions to monitor and mitigate attacks, enforce security policies, and ensure the integrity of critical platforms. You will collaborate closely with engineering and security teams, contribute to threat modeling, and drive best practices across product and infrastructure environments. The position requires ownership of end-to-end security processes, hands-on coding, and active involvement in operational security, including on-call support. The environment is fast-paced, remote-friendly, and encourages creativity, problem-solving, and accountability.

Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain secure cloud infrastructure and automation tools to protect products and services
  • Implement policy enforcement, monitoring, and reporting automation for SaaS and cloud environments
  • Perform threat model reviews for product features and associated architectures
  • Provide guidance to engineering teams on secure software design and development practices
  • Support Security Operations by performing ad-hoc queries, forensics, and incident response when needed
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure timely response to alerts and security incidents
  • Collaborate across SecOps, GRC, and DevSecOps functions to maintain a robust security posture


Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in security engineering with a strong background in software development and architecture
  • Proficient in Golang or Python for building production-grade security tools (beyond simple scripting)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform and GitHub Actions for infrastructure and CI/CD automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, integrity, and accountability
  • Results-oriented, self-driven, and passionate about security
  • Ability to creatively solve security challenges while enabling innovation
  • Willingness to participate in on-call support and operational security tasks as needed
