About The Role
TrendSpider is expanding its team and seeking a dedicated Lead of Quality Assurance to oversee and elevate our testing and quality standards. As the Lead of QA, you will take ownership of our testing strategy, define quality benchmarks, and work closely with developers to ensure our platform's reliability, stability, and user confidence. You will lead hands-on testing efforts, develop and execute test plans, drive automated test coverage, and advocate for quality across the product lifecycle. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine testing workflows, establish clear acceptance criteria, and ensure all features meet high standards of correctness, performance, UX, and reliability. You will also mentor and lead a small QA team, fostering a collaborative environment where quality is a shared responsibility. Your insights will help shape how we measure, track, and enforce quality, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to best practices in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience conducting structured manual testing using test checklists, test cases, and reproducibility flows
- Previous leadership experience in QA, such as QA Lead, Senior QA, or similar roles
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests, preferably using JavaScript and Puppeteer or similar frameworks
- Strong collaboration skills with developers to determine necessary unit and integration coverage
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments
- Familiarity with trading systems, backtesting engines, or designing trading strategies is highly advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English; proficiency in Ukrainian and/or Russian is a strong plus
- Ability to work remotely and independently in a distributed team environment
- Analyze and improve existing QA workflows, testing culture, and release processes to enhance quality standards
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define detailed task requirements, acceptance criteria, and test checklists
- Perform systematic manual testing to verify feature functionality, reliability, and UX
- Develop, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks using JavaScript and Puppeteer to ensure continuous test coverage
- Maintain a healthy automated testing pipeline, monitor test results, and troubleshoot issues
- Define and execute lower-level automated tests, including unit, integration, and service tests, in collaboration with developers
- Lead and mentor the QA team, fostering a collaborative environment where team members can grow and contribute effectively
- Work closely with engineering to ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process
- Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track quality, identify areas for improvement, and enforce quality standards
