Senior Infrastructure Engineer/DNS

Join a fast-moving infrastructure team supporting a globally distributed platform with a strong emphasis on DNS architecture, traffic routing, and service discovery.

You'll take full ownership of DNS strategy across multiple providers, enabling reliability, security, and performance for critical systems. This role combines hands-on automation with architectural influence—perfect for someone who thrives in lean teams and wants to build robust systems from the ground up. Expect to work across Terraform-managed infrastructure, multi-cloud DNS configurations, and automation frameworks like OctoDNS.

You’ll be the go-to expert for all things DNS in a team that values autonomy, technical excellence, and fast iteration. 4. Daily Responsibilities

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis now and in the future.

• Required Skills & Experience
• Bare-Metal server and extensive Linux operations experience
• Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code tools, especially Terraform for DNS record and zone management
• Strong understanding of DNS fundamentals, including TTL, zone delegation, CNAME vs A/AAAA, and split-horizon DNS
• Desired Skills & Experience
• Familiarity with DNS-as-code frameworks (e.g., OctoDNS) and API-driven DNS automation
• Experience implementing DNSSEC, DoH/DoT, or other secure DNS configurations
• Knowledge of DNS performance and observability tools such as dnsdiag, dnstop, or Catchpoint
• Hands-On Engineering: 70%
