Project:

We are developing a full-scale trading platform for a leading international hedge fund. The platform includes front-office tools, pre-trade analysis, intra-day position management, order routing, risk controls, reporting, and market/FIX connectivity.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance front-end applications supporting trading, risk, and research workflows.
• Build responsive, data-intensive user interfaces using ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and Browser APIs.
• Implement real-time data visualization and interactive features optimized for low-latency trading environments.
• Integrate seamlessly with backend systems via WebSockets and REST APIs to deliver live market data and trading updates.
• Collaborate closely with KDB, Java, and Kafka engineers to ensure robust data flow and efficient UI–backend interaction.
• Apply modern React design patterns (hooks, context, state management) to build scalable and maintainable components.
• Conduct performance tuning, debugging, and profiling to ensure smooth operation under production trading loads.
• Partner with traders, quantitative analysts, and technology teams to translate complex workflow requirements into intuitive, reliable UI.

Requirements:

• Expert-level proficiency in ReactJS, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and browser-based development.
• Deep understanding of React UI architecture, component design patterns, and commonly used JavaScript patterns.
• Proven experience integrating front-end applications with real-time backend services, including developing and debugging WebSocket and REST API interactions.
• Working knowledge of Node.js for tooling, automation, or lightweight backend integration.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Strong grasp of front-end performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and secure web application practices.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced trading or financial technology environment with stringent requirements for reliability and low latency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS for application deployment, hosting, or service integration.
• Exposure to Electron, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), or Glue42 integration technologies commonly used in trading desktop environments.
• Familiarity with streaming data systems (e.g., Kafka) and real-time, event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of financial markets, market data structures, and order/trade workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset suited to small, high-impact teams in a hedge fund or trading environment.
