DevOps Engineer (Remote - US)

This role is ideal for an experienced DevOps professional looking to optimize and scale software development and deployment processes. The DevOps Engineer will automate infrastructure, manage cloud environments, implement CI/CD pipelines, and monitor system performance to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient operations. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, refining best practices, and supporting continuous improvement across development, QA, and production environments. Candidates will gain exposure to modern cloud architectures, infrastructure-as-code practices, and innovative automation strategies. Accountabilities

• Establish DevOps best practices, policies, runbooks, and disaster recovery processes
• Develop and implement security and compliance standards for cloud infrastructure
• Automate infrastructure and deployment pipelines using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, and AWS ECS
• Provide troubleshooting support for development, QA, and production issues
• Monitor system performance, manage alerts, and refine reporting processes for key metrics
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance production and development environments
• Develop documentation and clear processes for infrastructure, deployments, and debugging
• Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure, workflows, and operational processes
  
  
  

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a formal DevOps role
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and deployment of applications
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Terragrunt) and automation-first approaches
• Solid understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices
• Familiarity with Python, and basic knowledge of Ruby/Rails is a plus
• Ability to handle back-end and front-end tasks as needed
• Experience with monitoring solutions, CI/CD pipelines, source control, and automated testing
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage company environment with multiple priorities
• Adaptable, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects in parallel

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker
• Knowledge of modern architecture principles: Immutable/Disposable/Replaceable Infrastructure
