About the Role:
We are actively seeking an accomplished Backend Developer with substantial experience in Node.js to be a vital contributor to our core development team. You'll play a crucial role in constructing the backend infrastructure of our online skills-based assessment tool. Your work will directly impact the product's functionality, scalability, and overall performance, helping us redefine the future of skills-based assessments.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Architecting and building a robust, scalable backend infrastructure using Node.js
- Developing and maintaining APIs, databases, and application logic
- Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Implementing security and data protection measures
- Ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end
- Contributing to the overall product roadmap, working closely with product managers and stakeholders
- Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- 3+ years of proven work experience as a Backend Developer, ideally with strong expertise in Node.js
- Solid understanding of server-side programming languages, databases, and web application frameworks
- Proficiency in working with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation
- Strong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Proven ability to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance
- Exceptional analytical skills and a keen problem-solving aptitude
Remote Status: Fully Remote
Preferred Location: Pakistan
Working Hours: 11am to 8pm PKT
Holidays: Local Holidays + 20 PTO
Salary: PKR 120,000 to PKR 180,000
