Junior Power BI Developer

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
We’re partnered with a UK-based organisation looking for a motivated Junior Power BI Developer to join their expanding Business Intelligence team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for data visualisation, and a flair for storytelling with data. You’ll work alongside experienced BI developers to design, enhance, and deliver impactful Power BI reports and dashboards that drive better business decisions.
What You’ll Do
As the Junior Power BI Developer, you’ll help develop and maintain high-quality Power BI solutions that bring business data to life. You’ll play a key role in supporting reporting projects and learning modern BI practices in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports under the guidance of senior team members.
- Translate business requirements into engaging, data-driven insights.
- Work with existing data models and datasets (no SQL development required).
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and visualisations.
- Contribute to standardising report templates and design practices.
- Assist in documentation, testing, and publishing of reports to the Power BI Service.
- Participate in team reviews and propose improvements.
- Keep up to date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Your Profile
- Experience creating Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of DAX, data modelling, and report design principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a good sense of visual storytelling.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Curious, analytical, and eager to learn new BI tools and methods.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of basic data concepts (relationships, measures, dimensions).
- Experience with Power BI Service (workspaces, sharing, permissions).
- Familiarity with Power Query.
- Exposure to Power BI governance, deployment, or version control processes.
