DevSecOps Engineer - Latin America

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud solutions for global clients. You will optimize development pipelines, enforce security best practices, and provide hands-on support across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your work will involve infrastructure automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting while collaborating with distributed teams in agile environments. You will serve as a trusted advisor for cloud security, helping shape DevSecOps strategies and processes. Accountabilities:

• Propose and implement best practices to enhance cloud performance, security, and resilience
• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including computing, networking, and security components
• Automate deployments and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Troubleshoot, debug, and support cloud-based applications and microservices architectures
• Produce solution design documentation and obtain stakeholder agreement on technical strategies
• Evaluate technical risks, create mitigation plans, and escalate issues when necessary
• Collaborate with globally distributed agile teams to ensure secure and efficient software delivery
  
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in DevSecOps roles
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native security tools (e.g., Wiz)
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, containerization, Linux system administration, and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Helm)
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and secure software development practices (Shift Left philosophy)
• Advanced English proficiency for collaborating with international teams and clients
• Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently in a remote environment
