PROJECT
We are looking for an experienced consultant to support a migration project of multiple repositories from GitHub to GitHub Enterprise (GHE) for a global automotive client.
GitHub is used not only as a source code management platform but also for automation via GitHub Actions. Approximately 300,000 workflows are executed daily, which creates significant performance demands. The goal of this project is to migrate repositories to GHE to increase performance and prepare the environment for future AI-driven code review and code generation capabilities.
The initial scope includes 25–30 repositories, with potential for additional migrations. Each migration includes configuration, validation, and workflow enablement.
YOU WILL
- Migrate repositories from GitHub to GitHub Enterprise
- Clone, transfer, and configure repositories in GHE
- Set up access, permissions, and credentials
- Enable, troubleshoot, and ensure the successful execution of GitHub Actions workflows
- Report progress and time spent based on the assigned task estimation
- Work independently with periodic sync meetings
MUST HAVE
- 4+ years of experience in software development (preferably Java background)
- Strong hands-on experience with GitHub & GitHub Actions (not only theoretical knowledge)
- Previous experience migrating repositories to GitHub Enterprise
- Solid understanding of Git, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines
- DevOps or CI/CD automation background
- Knowledge of additional CI tools (e.g., Jenkins)
- Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and deliver without supervision
- High integrity and responsibility
- Fluent in Polish and good English
