The role is fully remote, supporting teams distributed across the EMEA region, and focuses on enabling high-availability, scalable, and secure platforms for content delivery. The position plays a critical part in ensuring seamless deployment pipelines, robust monitoring, and rapid incident response for streaming services that reach millions of users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support high-traffic media streaming platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate provisioning and configuration of resources.
  • Build, optimize, and monitor CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to enable rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) to support microservices architectures and dynamic scaling.

  • Collaborate closely with software development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Enforce security best practices, including secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance with GDPR and other relevant data protection standards.
  • Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and service disruptions.

  • Continuously evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to enhance automation, performance, and reliability of the streaming platform.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, storage, and security services.
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible) for automated provisioning and configuration management.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of microservices.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD concepts and practical experience with pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Solid knowledge of monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog) for production environments.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Go) for automation and tooling.
  • Strong grasp of security principles, including identity and access management, secrets management, and vulnerability assessment.
  • Experience working in distributed, remote teams with effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues under pressure, especially in live streaming or high-availability contexts.
  • Understanding of GDPR and data privacy requirements relevant to media and streaming services in the EMEA region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting production systems in a 24/7 environment.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
