Job Description

Senior Product Manager — Core Product (Hybrid, San Francisco)

Compensation: $170K–$250K base + 0.1%–0.2% equity

Join a Series B AI company ($51M total funding, founded 2021, ~45 people) building AI-powered creative/design tools that turn early ideas into production-ready assets. The team is growing double-digits month-over-month and is hiring 1–2 Senior PMs focused on 0→1. You’ll report directly to the CEO and help define the product function from scratch. Hybrid: 3 days/week in the San Francisco office. Visa sponsorship: available case-by-case.

What You’ll Do

  • Own 0→1 from research → internal prototypes → shipped products; transform in-house experiments into real applications.
  • Spot and shape new categories: identify nascent AI capabilities that can become transformative products and set strategy/roadmap.
  • Prototype to learn: build scrappy MVPs, validate PMF with the lowest viable cost, and iterate quickly.
  • Make frontier AI usable: partner closely with engineering to productize credible, reliable workflows for real customers.
  • Close the loop: work with sales/marketing and customers to surface high-potential use cases and drive adoption.
  • Establish operating cadence: lightweight discovery, KPI reviews, and launch/retro rituals that increase quality and velocity.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years across product management and engineering (or design/eng hybrid), with shipped 0→1 and scaled technical products.
  • Technical depth: comfortable working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers; Python + SQL proficiency required.
  • Evidence of commercial or distribution impact from prior launches.
  • Bonus: experience with creative/design tools and a habit of staying hands-on with emerging AI research.
  • Builder’s mindset: creative, hacker spirit; you like hard, ambiguous problems and move fast with judgment.

Why This Seat

  • First PM influence: define the product culture and standards—no legacy PM hierarchy.
  • Beyond PMF: focus on scaling and new category creation, not “does anyone want this?”
  • AI + creativity at scale: work at the intersection of frontier models and real creative workflows.
  • Direct CEO partnership and high ownership over company direction.

Logistics & Comp

  • Location: San Francisco (hybrid 3 days/week on-site).
  • Compensation: $170K–$250K base + 0.1%–0.2% equity; benefits competitive for stage.
  • Headcount: 1–2 hires for this function.
  • Process: ~5 steps.
  • Reporting: directly to the CEO.
