Manual QA Tester – Contract (Remote, Redmond, WA)
📍 Location: Remote (Must be located in Redmond, WA to pick up testing devices)
⏳ Contract: Full-time Contract
About the Role
We’re seeking a Manual QA Tester to join a dynamic team focused on modernizing the consumer identity experience and implementing an exciting new product known as External ID (SIAM).
This role is perfect for candidates who are early in their QA careers and looking to expand their technical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You’ll work closely with senior testers and developers, executing prewritten manual test scripts, identifying bugs, and validating builds before release to production.
Typical Day in the Role
- Execute manual test scripts and report product anomalies.
- Perform exploratory testing and build validation for new features.
- Participate in bug bashes and ensure product functionality aligns with specifications.
- Occasionally use automated test tools and analyze results.
- Perform basic computer configuration and compatibility testing across platforms.
Key Projects
- Support the modernization of consumer identity services.
- Contribute to the rollout of External ID (SIAM) – a new authentication experience for external users.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent technical training/experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing or QA.
- Hands-on experience using Fiddler or similar network/debugging tools.
- Familiarity with web apps and browser testing.
- Experience testing on Android and iOS devices.
- Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, and spreadsheet tools.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
Preferred:
- Understanding of the product lifecycle.
- Prior large enterprise or product testing experience (a plus).
